Shuichi — Refund Policy

Our 14-day guarantee on the first payment

This is a promise we make on top of the law. You can get a full refund within 14 days of your first payment, no questions asked:

Renewals are not refunded, except in the cases listed below and where the law requires it. When you cancel, the subscription stops at the end of the period you already paid for and nothing more is charged (see Terms of Service §5). While it is running, Shuichi reminds you in the app 15–45 days before every yearly renewal and once a year for monthly plans; if a yearly renewal comes without a reminder you saw, see the table below.

To ask for a refund, write to hello@shuichi.app from the email address you paid with, and give the order number from Creem's receipt if it shows one. We reply to the address you write from. Creem, the merchant of record, returns the money to your original payment method.

When we refund a renewal anyway

CaseWhat we refundWhat happens to the subscription
We charged you by mistake: twice for the same period, after you had cancelled, or at a price other than the one you agreed tothe wrong charge, in fullif we refund part of a charge, nothing changes; if we refund a whole charge, the subscription stops renewing and you keep the period you paid for once — to continue, buy the plan again on shuichi.app/buy (if you had cancelled, it stays cancelled)
A yearly renewal surprised you: you did not see Shuichi's in-app reminder 15–45 days before itthat renewal, in full: our server notices when the app has not reported the reminder as seen, and you can also ask within 30 days of the chargeends now
We end your subscription because of a breach of the EULAthe part of the current period after the end date, pro rata by daysends on the date we tell you
Your law lets you end an automatically renewed subscription early (below)the part of the period paid for after the end date, pro rata by daysends on that date; Shuichi works until then

Subscriptions in Germany, and in any other country whose law requires the same. This applies to subscriptions only, not to Lifetime. After its first term — the first month of a monthly plan, the first year of a yearly plan — your subscription continues for an indefinite period. You can end it at any time with at most one month's notice (a monthly plan can also end at the end of the month you have paid for), and we refund the part of the period you paid for after the end date, pro rata by days. If Creem's record of your purchase shows Germany, the Cancel your subscription here form does this by itself; from another country whose law gives you this right, write to us.

Separately from our guarantee, if you are a consumer in the EU or the UK the law gives you 14 days from the purchase to withdraw from it without giving a reason. Creem is the seller. For digital content this right ends early only if, before delivery started, you expressly agreed that delivery starts at once, acknowledged that you thereby lose the right, and received a confirmation of this on a durable medium (Creem's checkout and receipt). If you were not told about the right as the law requires, the withdrawal period is extended by up to 12 months.

Withdraw from your purchase here — a form for any purchase, a subscription or Lifetime, for as long as your withdrawal period runs, including an extended one: it asks for your order number or license key. Choose Withdrawal, check your statement and press Confirm withdrawal. The page then shows the receipt — the text of your statement and the date and time (UTC) we received it — which you can save as a file or print. Save it: we do not email it for now. If you need it again, write to hello@shuichi.app and we send it from our record of your statement. A withdrawal within 14 days of the purchase is refunded within 14 days. A later one we check against how you were informed at checkout: if your period was extended, we refund within 14 days of receiving it, and we reply within 3 working days either way, to the email address you paid with. You can also write the same to hello@shuichi.app.

What a refund does

Your other rights under the law

If Shuichi does not work as described, you keep the rights your country's law gives you for faulty digital content, for as long as those rights last. The 14-day window and the no-refund rule for renewals do not shorten them.

Chargebacks

Please write to us before asking your bank for a chargeback. Creem's Buyer Terms (9.4) also ask you to contact Creem first.
